Rev. David Hargrave comes to Brook Hollow after 36 years in the Houston area –
serving six congregations over that time in youth, drama, and pastoral ministry –
much of which was bi-vocational while supporting his family in the sales field.
Born and brought up in Fort Worth, David attended Texas Christian University,
and later toured for five years with the Covenant Players, a Christian Repertory
Theater company.
Following his move to Houston in 1974, he completed his education at University
of Houston and Houston Theological Seminary. He completed his Masters of
Divinity and was ordained into ministry in 2001.
Rev. Hargrave is married to Cookie Wildman Hargrave, with whom he shares two
daughters and two sons.

Youth Minister
Chesna Riley

Chesna was born in the Panhandle of Texas, but claims Colorado City, Texas and Abilene
as home. She attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, where she studied Theatre
and Music. Chesna cannot remember a time when she wasn't playing piano or performing.
She has been seen around the Big Country in many productions including Titanic the
Musical, Godspell, Deadwood Dick and The Foreigner. She is a big UT fan (Hook 'em
Horns!) and loves the Dallas Cowboys.
Chesna grew up going to church and was always very active in her youth group. She
went to camp every year from ages 4-18, some summers more than once. When she started
college, she immediately started volunteering in her church to work with the children and
youth. This past November, Chesna started officially working as a youth minister, and
loves it. Chesna is passionate about teaching the Holy Word of God and encouraging
youth to have a personal, living relationship with Jesus.
